What identification should I bring to the event?


For non-student participants, you can bring any form of identification to the event as long as it acts as your nameproof. For e.g., HKID, Passport, Office ID, etc. For students, you must bring your student card (UID).




I lost my ticket, what should I do?


Even if you lost your ticket, you can still access your ticket through the mail we sent to you after you registered to our event. On the date of the event, you can bring either the digital ticket or the printed ticket by printing it yourself.




What is the best route to get to the event?


You should enter Lung Fu Shan Country Park through Harlech Road, near the Peak Gallery and Peak Tower. You can reach the entry point at Harlech Road by bus, taxi or peak tram. Bus NWFB Bus Route 15 - Central → Peak Bus Terminus 15B - Causeway Bay → Peak Bus Terminus Green Minibus 1 - Star Ferry Pier → Peak Taxi Please alight at The Peak Galleria/ Peak Bus Terminus and enter Lung Fu Shan Park from there through Harlech Road. Peak Tram Alight at Peak Tower and enter Lung Fu Shan Park from there through Harlech Road.




What time does the event start?


The event starts at 10:00 a.m. In case, you’re early, you can start the hunt as soon as you’re registered.




Can I bring other members I know?


Your friends and family are welcome to the family festival area and the social innovation marketplace for no extra cost. All participants of The Infected - Zombie Escape must sign up with their teams latest by 15th of November.




What do I need to bring to the event?


  • E-Ticket: You need to display your E-ticket on your phones so that we can scan it and check your team in.
  • Charged phone with a QR scanner: Games and activities either require you to use your phone to scan QR codes or search online in order to complete the tasks. So better come fully charged and ideally bring your portable charger along!
  • Identification: You can bring any form of identification to the event as long as it can prove your name, e.g., HKID, Passport, Office ID, etc. Students need to bring their Student ID Card.
  • Snacks: We offer fruits along the way in Zombie Land. But maybe you know, that you are a good eater and need more energy? Better bring some additional snacks so that you don’t get “hangry”.
  • Portable chargers: You may want to bring portable power banks to be able to recharge your phone.
  • BYOB! Water bottle: Please bring your own water bottle as we really want to reduce waste! We have several water stations available throughout the park.
  • Comfortable shoes: The event is 5km long, it is advisable you wear shoes that provide you comfort.
  • Mosquito repellent: This is Zombie Land, right? So better come prepared for the outdoors! Mosquito repellent and sunscreen might come in handy. Make sure you bring what you might need for your personal wellbeing.




What if it rains or there is other unpleasant weather?


If the weather is mildly unpleasant, for instance, it rains just a little, the event will still be held as normal. Only under the circumstances that there is a red and black rainstorm will the event be cancelled or halted. In case of inclement weather, FSI reserves the right to cancel the event without refund. FSI will closely monitor the weather conditions 24 hours prior to the event and keep participants posted. Weather events necessitating cancellation of the event are:

  • Forest Fire
  • Landslides
  • Typhoon
    • Typhoon signal 3: Teams prepare for cancellation
    • Typhoon signal pre 8: ​Start cancellation procedure (2 hours before T8)
    • Typhoon signal 8+: ​Event is canceled.
  • Rain
    • Cancellation or halt will be considered for red and black rainstorm




Are there prizes to win?


Yes, there are 10 prizes in total, which will be given to outstanding teams. There are t-shirts, towels and of course all winners will get a certificate stating their achievements. Do spare no effort if you want them!




Can I transfer my ticket to a friend?


All team registrations are transferrable. Team leaderships are transferrable up to 2 days from the event (cut-off date 22nd November 11:59 p.m.). Team membership might be transferred up to the date of the event. Team member names must be announced by the registered team leader. All transfers of registration must be made in writing by the registered team leader to info@theinfected.org.




Does the ticket include food and drinks?


Yes, but ONLY fruit and water will be provided for free at multiple stands along the event route in Lung Fu Shan Park.




How can I refund my ticket?


  • Teams may cancel their registration without penalty up until 14 days prior to the event. Teams will get full refund.
  • All cancellations received less than 14 days before the event, on the day of, or after the event will not be eligible for a refund.
  • All cancellations must be made in writing to info@theinfected.org.
  • Any possible refunds will only be made directly to the buyer.




How should I prepare for the 'The Infected: Zombie Escape'?


As the whole distance you need to walk is approximately 5 km, it is suggested that you do some exercise to keep fit before the event to make sure that you can go through.

Is this a race, will people living at the gym outrun me?


Don't worry. This is not a race. It is a zombie-themed scavenger hunt that requires your problem-solving, team building and creativity skills. However, you should still speed up a little if you want to win.




What should I wear?


We would advise you to wear something comfortable in which you can survive a hike of 5 km, plus the mind-testing games that you have to go through. Sports shoes or shoes that are suited to hikes are recommended. Caps/hats/sunglasses may also be needed as we are expecting the sun to be out.




What time will the event end?


The challenges end at 1:00 p.m. . Latest time for teams to arrive at the final destination “safe haven” is 1:30 p.m. . The family festival area will be open until 2:30 p.m.




What time do I have to reach the registration booth?


The registration opens at 9:00 a.m. The event starts at 10:00 a.m.. It’s advisable to reach early to avoid a long line.




Where will the registration for the event be located?

Who can take part in 'The Infected - Zombie Escape' 2018?


Participants must be 10 years or older and be in good health. You need to be fit to walk approximately 5 km.




Will we be able to check our coats and bags?


No, you will have to carry everything you have with you, so you should not bring too much stuff.




What time do I have to reach the registration desk on the event day?


The registrations close at 10:30 p.m. Any team that arrives later than this time will not be allowed to join the hunt. There will be no refund for late arrivals.




Where is the family festival area?


The Family Festival area is located on the Hong Kong University campus, Sun Yat-sen Place which is located near the main library.In case of inclement weather the Family Festival area will be located in the K.K. Leung Concourse
